The COVID pandemic has brought in multiple challenges with serious implications on lives and livelihood, businesses and economy across the country. Given the magnitude of crisis and surge in number of cases, the healthcare sector has been under immense pressure to address the shortage of medical equipment, essential supplies and trained staff to deliver appropriate healthcare delivery to citizens. Availability of more healthcare workers is the need of the hour to put up a brave front in our fight against COVID.Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), supported by Healthcare Sector Skill Council, have designed various courses as part of the COVID response program which will further help in augmenting the availability of Allied Healthcare Professionals in the country.




NAPS
National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) is a new scheme of Government of India to provide financial support to establishments undertaking the apprenticeship training. It was launched on19th August 2016.




NATS
NATS enhances the establishment of productivity and provides financial support to the industries by way of reimbursing 50% of Government prescribed minimum spend paid to the apprentices. Apprenticeship training scheme ensures continuous availability of trainees in the establishment.
